Starting university in a new city can be a lot to take in. New people, a new course, a new home and an entirely new city to explore. That’s why events like the Liverpool Independent Freshers Fair 2026 are a great way for new students to get to know what Liverpool has to offer.
This year, we headed along to the Freshers Fair to meet some of the newest faces in Liverpool, introduce ourselves and, of course, give students a few things to make settling into their new homes a little more fun.
What is the Liverpool Independent Freshers Fair?
The Liverpool Independent Freshers Fair brings together some of the businesses, venues, restaurants, brands and organisations that make up Liverpool’s student scene, all under one roof.
The 2026 event took place at Einstein Bier Haus in Concert Square, with free entry for students. It was a chance for Liverpool freshers to discover new places, pick up freebies and offers, meet local businesses and get a feel for some of the things they can expect from student life in the city.
Why was Address Properties at the Freshers Fair?
As a Liverpool-based student lettings company, we wanted to take the opportunity to meet this year’s new students and put some faces to the name.
We’ve been helping students find their homes in Liverpool for over 10 years, so we know that moving to a new city is about much more than finding a house. It’s about getting to know your neighbourhood, finding your favourite coffee spot, working out where to go on a night out and discovering all the little things that make Liverpool feel like home.
We brought along custom made posters for students to take away and use to decorate their new rooms. Because once you’ve unpacked all those boxes, your room deserves a bit of personality!
We also gave students the chance to enter our £100 Amazon gift card giveaway, giving one lucky winner the chance to pick up some new bits and pieces for their student room.
Whether that means fairy lights, storage, bedding, a new lamp or something completely unnecessary but very tempting, we’ll leave that up to the winner.
Plenty of Liverpool favourites under one roof
One of the best things about the Freshers Fair was seeing just how many businesses were there to welcome new students to Liverpool.
There were plenty of familiar names from Liverpool’s student nightlife, including The Hatch, The Irish House and Electrik Warehouse, giving freshers the chance to discover some of the city’s popular pubs, bars and clubs.
There were also some well-known brands getting involved, including WKD and Casamigos, alongside food and drink favourites such as Byron Burger and Kaspa’s.
It was a great snapshot of the variety Liverpool has to offer students. Whether your ideal afternoon involves finding somewhere new to eat, grabbing a drink with friends or finding your next favourite night out, there’s certainly no shortage of options in the city.

For us, the Freshers Fair was a great opportunity to meet some of the students who will be making Liverpool their home this year.
